My Mom's Accident

To inform everyone that maybe wondering:
On Friday December 5, 2008 my mom -Connie- was on here way to her massage and as she was saying "Bye" to my Step dad -Dwight- a can of spray paint was knocked of the workbench and punctured. In the frantic attempt to get the spraying can out the door the heat from the propane Mr. Heater caught the aerosol and paint in turn burning my mom.

Dwight took her to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo and from there they life flighted her to the University of Utah Burn Center in Salt Lake City.

She has 1st and 2nd degree burns on her face, 2nd and some 3rd on her hands and legs.

She is doing very well considering all that has happened. Saturday and Sunday were really bad days but she is getting better daily. She started Physical Therapy and eating on her own on Monday. She has acknowledged it as being an accident and no one was totally at fault. -Just a FREAK accident- She has also realized that she looks and is doing a lot better than most of the patients there because of the degree of burns she has and they have. We are expecting her to be home before Christmas.
